Yet higher water

This is the highest water of the year -- nearly as high as the monster storm of March 1995, although not close to 1982.

The pictures above and below show the well housing. Until the 1995 storm, it was uncovered, and water this high sloshed mud into it, requiring a major cleanout job with a sludge pump. After 1995 we filled it with gravel and capped it with concrete.
Of course there are other hazards. In 1982, twice, the water
rose high enough that the plumbing was pruned from the top of the housing, requiring annoying rework
