El Niņo comes to Soquel
West Branch of Soquel Creek, 2 Feb 1998
We had about 8" of rain in 24 hours. This is hardly exceptional (18" on 4 Jan 1982 in 24 hours), but the stream rose to a point the steelhead enjoy very much. This and the following three pictures were taken about 10 AM.

after another 2" of rain had fallen in about two hours.
